Pangea Media, a leader in online quizzes and quiz technology, announced today the addition of three new Web sites to its network of casual entertainment and quiz sites. The sites: Movie IQ Test, Movie Nachos and Movie Quizzes feature more than 300,000 unique quizzes focused on all things movie including: directors, musical scores, award-winners, famous movie lines, etc.
Movie IQ Test is for the movie expert– the person who can list every movie directed by Steven Spielberg, can recite full scenes at length or knows all of Tom Hanks’ films. Movie IQ Test is loaded with tough movie trivia quizzes created by professional writers as well as user-created tests. Movie IQ Test promises to challenge even the most knowledgeable movie watcher.
Movie Nachos features more light-hearted quizzes for movie fans who love summer blockbusters and follow celebrity gossip. Popular quizzes include “Which Vampire Are You?” and “Which Character from The Departed Are You?” The site showcases user-generated quizzes as well as professionally-generated content.
Movie Quizzes combines a range of movie trivia, polls and surveys, from users and professionals, in a single destination.
On each of the Web sites, users can create quizzes about their favorite movies and actors and include movie images in their quizzes. Visitors who take quizzes can post badges featuring their results on their personal Web pages, blogs and social network profiles.
The sites also provide advertisers with opportunities to market complementary offerings and tap into the site-specific audiences.
“With the launch of these three sites, we are now a dominant player in the movie quiz space,” said Seth Lieberman, CEO of Pangea Media. “Each site provides a unique opportunity to attract and engage a targeted audience. We are thrilled to expand the Pangea network with the addition of these sites.”
Pangea Media’s network features more than 50 quiz and related Web sites as well as applications for MySpace, the iPhone and other social media channels. In 2008, more than 60 million quizzes were taken across the Pangea Media network.
