Boston, MA
Pangea Media, creator of the SnapApp marketing platform, today announced that its SnapApp campaign for Magic Beans has been selected as a finalist for the best Direct Response campaign for the 16th Annual MITX Interactive Awards. Held annually by the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, the MITX Awards recognize excellence in the creation of web innovations designed, produced or developed in New England.
The Magic Beans “31 Days of Giveaways” campaign was run using Pangea Media’s SnapApp marketing platform. Magic Beans received more than 100,000 entries during the month long campaign which was promoted on Facebook, Twitter, and on the Magic Beans website and blog. Magic Beans used the campaign to expand their mailing list, drive Likes and engagement on Facebook and Twitter and increase customer loyalty.
"Our 31 Days of Giveaways promotion was transformed by the innovations SnapApp afforded us. We were able to generate huge customer engagement while also spending markedly less time managing the promotion than in years past. It was a win-win all around," said Sheri Gurock, Founder, Magic Beans.
Seth Lieberman, CEO of Pangea Media, commented, “We are thrilled to be a MITX finalist and even more proud of what this says about the great results that Magic Beans and other SnapApp customers are achieving with the SnapApp platform.”
The SnapApp marketing platform empowers brands, publishers and agencies to foster conversations across the web, social and mobile, that build brand affinity, connect, educate, entertain and drive sales. With the SnapApp platform companies can easily create engaging sweepstakes, quizzes, surveys and contests and use these to drive measureable results including registrations, likes, follows,+1s, shares, subscriptions, time on site and ad revenue. SnapApp customers include Martha Stewart Omni Media, Comcast Sportsnet, Harper Collins, NPR and ABC Family among others.
Begun in 1996, the MITX Awards has become the largest and most prestigious awards competition in the country for technology innovations, and celebrates the best creative and technological accomplishments emerging from New England.
“The MITX Interactive Awards draw in digital and creative work of an astoundingly high caliber,” said Debi Kleiman, president of MITX, “This year’s finalists represent true thought-leaders, experts, and innovators; and their work bridges the space between creative ideas and technology.”
Pangea Media/ SnapApp will be recognized with the other finalists at a ceremony to be held next week in downtown Boston. In addition, Seth will be speaking on “Building a Successful Marketing Campaign in a Social World” at the Publishing App Expo to be held December 7-8 in New York City.
