Content Marketing World: 3 Things to Look For in Cleveland

Fun times in Cleveland ahead!

In two weeks, the SnapApp team will be trekking from our comfy enclave in the northeast to the heartland of America – Cleveland, Ohio – for Content Marketing World 2016. Get ready for four days jam-packed with good times, good people, and good conversations about content.

The biggest content marketing gathering in the world (yes, the world) will host over 4,500 marketers from more than 50 countries. Over 100 speakers – both from the marketing world and the entertainment world – will impart wisdom and advice over the course of the four-day event.

The venue for the event is the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, located downtown close to the Lake Erie shoreline and some of the coolest sights the city has to offer.

Here are some of the things we’re looking forward to in Cleveland:

1. The Force

Full disclosure – I’ve never seen any of the Star Wars movies, so I’m going into this section a little blind. Mark Hamill (wait, the Mark Hamill?) will be the closing keynote speaker, and I’m told he’s a pretty big deal in the Star Wars world. So, uh, yeah. The Force will be in Cleveland. Did I do that right?

You might be asking yourself, what could Mark Hamill possibly know about content marketing? The answer? Probably more than you think.

Content marketing can really only succeed when the author makes his or her audience the hero of of that content. Hamill’s character in the Star Wars movies was one of the greatest heroes of all time. Need I say more?

2. The Rock

No, not that one. This one! The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is located in Cleveland, and it’s a must-see for any fans of the genre.

The massive seven-floor shrine has exhibits dedicated to some of the most influential rock stars, profiles on the cities that had major impacts on the genre, theaters featuring filmed musical performances from some of the Hall of Fame inductees, and shrines filled with artifacts from some of the world’s most famous bands.

And don’t forget – Hall of Fame Class of 2016 inductee Cheap Trick will be performing at Content Marketing World on Wednesday night! There’s a show you won’t want to miss.

3. The Eats

You’re out of the office for a couple days in a fun, new city – treat yo’self to some great food! We’re hosting a dinner for customers and high-level prospects at Chop on Thursday, September 8th at 6:30 p.m.
