Where did the idea for your last marketing campaign come from?

Maybe it was a brainstorming session; maybe it was a post-it note from your boss; maybe it was a really profound shower thought. Wherever it came from, you were probably pretty excited at your burst of inspiration. Coming up with ideas is hard – according to recent research from Kapost, only 51% of marketers feel they have enough ideas for content to be successful.

Here at SnapApp, our whole mission is to help you be a better marketer. So we want to help you come up with more great ideas.

One of our favorite ways to come up with ideas is to look at the calendar. It turns out, there’s a reason to celebrate pretty much every day of the year. In fact, in the U.S. there are 175 days dedicated to awareness of food or drink each year, not to mention all the local and national holidays, sporting events, or plain-ol’-fun days peppering the calendar. That’s a lot of reasons to celebrate!

But what does this have to do with marketing?

Great question. We love drawing inspiration from the calendar because we market to people  we all do. Whether B2B or B2C, there’s a human on the other side of that email, blog post, PPC ad or tweet. And humans like to celebrate.
